Fire safety standards
Doors meet or exceed industry fire testing safety standards including Factory Mutual (FM) and Underwriters Laboratories (UL and ULC) and are compliant with all NFPA-80 standards, with up to 4-hour UL rating (3-hour or 1.5-hour UL rating for counter doors).
Range of sizes
Standard doors fit openings up to 41'2” in width (12,548 mm) and 25'4” (7,722 mm) in height (max. 683 sp. ft. or 634,527 sq. mm).
Counter doors fit openings up to 14' (4,267 mm) in width and 10' (3,048 mm) in height.
Galvanized or stainless steel construction available in a wide selection of slat designs, gauges and finishes.
Automatic closure settings
Doors close automatically under governor control after separation of fuse link. UL recommends a 165°F (74°C) fuse link for ambient conditions of 100°F (38°C) or less, or a 212°F (100°C) fuse link for ambient conditions over 100°F (38°C).
Attractive guide assembly
Rests on sill or floor for a finished appearance with no set-up gaps. During a fire guides expand upwards.
Insulated fire door model available with an R value of 4.5 to eliminate the need for separate fire and insulated doors.
No tension reset
Counter fire doors do not require tension reset after automatic fire release.
Available options include a range of operator types, vision lights, time delay release, wind load options, smoke seals, finish types and colors, and solid-state horn, strobe or voice enunciators.
